It's the Little Things

Having our own photography business for Heather and I has been a dream come true. It has let us release our creativity and provides us constant challenges which we both enjoy. The really cool thing that dawned on us the past few weeks is that it has also allowed us to catch back up with old friends we haven't seen or talked to in years as well as meeting new people and creating friendships with them. Seeing their children grow from a few weeks old to being able to sit up and talk or capturing their joy on their wedding day. It's a huge bonus we never really factored in when deciding to start Alexander Photography and it really gives us additional motivation to create beautiful portrait art for them to display and cherish those memories for years to come. There are many many great things about being photographers for Heather and I, but I think the one thing we really didn't think about is probably the greatest of all. Thanks to all of our friends and future friends!

Rainning Cats and Dogs

I was so excited about the warm weather we had encounter just a little over a week ago. Todd and I were so disappointed that we couldn't get outside and take pictures this past weekend. So with the "cabin fever" our ideas turned to our favorite model ( our now 5 1/2 month old daughter, Olivia) We put her in the studio and started taking pictures. ( I am trying to redo our bedroom and of course I want a wall dedicated to Olivia). So I dressed her in one of her cute little outfits and set her in front of the camera. I think she knew what was going to happen next. I just laid her down and she started to smile and Todd and I took turns taking pictures. I have uploaded a few images that we took. We just let her play around and I think she enjoyed herself. Of course she made us proud.

Todd and I are getting excited about the wedding season getting ready to take place. We can't wait to get out there and take some great wedding shots.
